The discovery of Le Verdon starts often at the Pointe de Grave, a unique spot worth visiting, where the waters of the Ocean and of the Gironde meet and mix in a vast area opposite the coast of Charentes.

But the attentive visitor will also discover other treasures: large beaches at the Atlantic coast and at the Estuary of the Gironde, forests and swamps, bicyclepaths and footpaths, give all the opportunity to laze, stroll or go on adventurous trips.

You could even exchange the firm ground for the waves: take a boat trip on the Estuary, or the ferry to Royan, or go and visit the light house of Cordouan, one of the most beautiful in the world.
